If you are planning for a short getaway with no rush, no fuss and lots of shopping and makan, I would recommend One Utama -- a mega award-winning shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur -- which we visited last year. We also stayed at the One World Hotel, a nice business-class hotel conveniently located within the shopping mall itself.
Staying in a hotel within the shopping mall proved to be a bonus as it means we could wake up late (since the shopping mall only opens at 10) and shop until the mall closes at 10 at night before dragging our tired feet back to the hotel in just five minutes. Of course with a young child in tow, it means that we have to go back to the hotel room to let her take a short afternoon nap, so staying and shopping within the same area is a great convenience indeed.

Time to plan for your vacation if you are like him...

Half a year had gone by, in a blink. Have you realise you still have more than half of your annual leave left? If yes, please rememeber to plan your leave well, for example the coming National Day falls on a Tuesday, you can take the Monday off and accompany your family. Please DO NOT behave like the one above. Who will pity you? Boss will not increase your pay and there is no longer loyalty awards, so please wake up
We must have work and family life balance

Thinking Loft June 2011 Holidays Workshops
It's holidays time again! And as a parent myself, I have already started to look at fun yet educational activities I can do with my daughter.
At the same time, I have also designed three different holidays workshops catered to different age groups and interest during the holidays.
Thinking Loft Kitchen Science - the kitchen is such a wonderful fertile ground to stimulate the natural curiosity in children. And all children love tinkering with pots and pans and flour and generally making a mess! I have therefore designed a 90min workshop whereby children get to bake their own cupcakes from scratch and at the same time be guided to think about why baking sodas is added into the cupcake dough. To help them arrive at their own conclusion, we will also be doing a side science experiment using what else but baking soda!
The First Premium Student Care Centre in Singapore
Scratching your heads over what to do to entertain your kid during the upcoming March holidays?
Some suggested activities for parents to consider for the holidays include outdoor activities (such as park visits, in-line skating classes), art and other creative activities (such as pottery, art appreciation, dance and drama classes) and baking and cookery classes.
At Out of the Box Kids’ Club, our vision is Learning through Love and Laughter, where we aim to have our kids learn through fun activities. We have planned an exciting week of varied and enjoyable activities for the kids. Our holiday camp incorporates educational activities that range from an outdoor garden tour to a kids’ fitness class to bringing out the artist, scientist as well as chef in your child!
