Twenties Girl
.jpg)
This book Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella is one of her good books. When I was reading this book DH and friends were all laughing at me, are you sure you are in the twenties?
It wasn't about girls in her twenties but rather it's about the girls in the 1920s. The main character happened to get to know more on her great aunty who was in the 1920s. There is a nice twist at the ending which makes me almost tear.
Enjoy reading :)

WHY GOD CREATED CHILDREN (AND IN THE PROCESS GRANDCHILDREN)
Some little story to share with everyone... To those of us who have children in our lives, whether they are our own, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or students... here is something to make you chuckle.
Whenever your children are out of control, you can take comfort from the thought that even God's omnipotence did not extend to His own children.
After creating heaven and earth, God created Adam and Eve.
And the first thing he said was "DON'T!"
"Don't what? " Adam replied.
"Don't eat the forbidden fruit." God said.
"Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit? Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit! "
"No Way! " said Eve
"Yes way! " Said Adam
"Do NOT eat the fruit! " said God.
"Why ?" asked Adam
"Because I am your Father and I said so! " God replied, wondering why He hadn't stopped creation after making the elephants.

Being nice or nasty is in women's genes
A Scottish research suggests that being nice or being nasty is in your genes - particularly if you're a woman.
The study of almost 1,000 pairs of identical and non-identical twins, conducted by psychologist Gary Lewis and colleagues at Edinburgh University, has found that genetic factors appeared to affect how likely someone was to do charitable deeds or work hard in their job.
However, the experts also said the environment in which we live still plays a part in how nice we are, meaning we cannot just blame our genes if we're feeling a bit nasty.
Twins make good research subjects because, in the case of identical twins, they have the same genetic make-up.
Comparing them to non-identical twins, whose genes vary, allows researchers to look at what impact genetics has in certain situations compared to other factors such as the environment in which they live.
The researchers looked at levels of "prosociality" - meaning contributing to the civic duties of society such as carrying out jury service, going beyond the call of duty at work and paying higher taxes to help other people.
Why I choose to sent my boy to Childcare at 18 months old
I sent my boy to childcare at 18 months old.
Although I have a maid and my dad can help to look after during the day, I still sent him to childcare. Why?
At home, there's hardly any 'meaningful activity' during the day. He just plays on his own while my maid is busy with housework and preparing his food/clothes/etc.
My dad is not trained in education and does not know how to teach or what to teach. All he will do is play with my boy, bring him down for walks and let him watch TV. Nothing much learnt at home during the day when we are at work.
Hachiko - A tale about loyalty and unconditional love.
This is a simple but heart warming tale about Love and Loyalty. It is base on a true story behind a bronze statue of an Akita dog just outside of Shibuya Train Station in Tokyo, Japan.
The film starts with a young boy telling the story of a dog which belongs to his grandfather, a professor who commutes to work by train everyday. The dog will walk with him to the train station everyday and return to wait for him to return home everyday.
